Birthday Party- Colson is 3 and Brooklyn is 5!!!!

We celebrated the birthday of our babes early this year!  We went to The Woodlands Gymnastics Academy and had a great time playing with our friends!  I loved all of the fun equipment that the kids got to play on and all of the kids loved it!  The loft area for the party was a bit small but it worked for sure!  My friend Julie is wonderful and made peanut and egg free cakes so that all of our friends could eat and enjoy!  She is so talented and I am eternally grateful!!  The kids picked a Mickey and Minnie Mouse birthday theme so that way the boys and girls would all be happy!  The cakes were stupendous!!!  We were so sad that one of our friends had to leave when she got hurt and later found out that she broke her arm...very sad! 
We are thankful for all of the wonderful gifts and time you took out of your day to come celebrate with both of our kiddos!
Cannot believe they are 3 and 5!!!!  They grow so fast...I know everyone says it but it is unbelievable!

Happy Birthday Colson

Colson will be 3 tomorrow, July 8!!!  I cannot believe that he is already 3 years old!  This year has been full of change and growth for Colson.  Last year at this time I was extremely worried about his speech and even had him evaluated for it.  He didn't qualify for services but did start school in early October this past school year.  I think this helped his speech tremendously!  He is talking up a storm now!  He LOVES to cuddle (so much more than Brooklyn ever did), eats anything and everything, loves to follow and do whatever Brooklyn is doing, help daddy with any projects he is doing, play with balls and cars, pick out his own pajamas, and drink MILK!  I am so proud of the sweet spirit that Colson has (even though we do have our 2-3 year old moments)!!  I pray for Colson every night that he will be successful and happy in whatever he does...we feel blessed that we have been given Colson Bridger Alford!

Girls Night Out 2011

Last month, to celebrate the June birthdays, Tamika and me, we went to a new place called Painting with a Twist!  It was so fun!  A painting is chosen and an instructor takes you step by step through the painting process.  Though I am VERY UNCREATIVE (I am a math teacher for a reason), I completed it and had a blast doing it!  You bring your own food, drinks, and friends!  Thank you Jill and Laurie for planning a very fun night!!!
