Easter 2012

HAPPY EASTER!  The entire week before as the kids went to bed, I spent time talking about why we celebrate Easter.  We talked about Jesus dying for our sins on the cross, how He was put in a tomb, and when they went to dress his body he was no longer there.  The kids truly got the story and thought it was so amazing that He was not in the tomb anymore!  The night before Easter Brooklyn said, "It is ok if I don't find any Easter eggs, that is not what Easter is all about anyway!"  YOU GO GIRL!  Colson is much more literal so his question was, "How did Jesus get to heaven?"  WOW...hard one to answer...just shows the amazing plan!
The kids woke up excited!  Walked out to the living room with their eyes closed!  They got baskets filled with summer/beach items...they couldn't believe that The Bunny knew we are going to the beach with the Bridger family this summer!  We went to breakfast, egg hunt, and worship at church!  What a great morning!  Then all of the Lewis clan always joins the Alford clan for lunch, an egg hunt, and a good ole fashioned confetti egg fight!  We are so blessed with families that love each other and get along great!

As we went to bed that night, Brooklyn said, "I know that a real bunny cannot carry toys for a lot of kids...at least Santa has a sleigh!"  She said that she thinks the bunny has special helpers that deliver the toys!  OF COURSE HE DOES was my reply!
