The Days Before Christmas

We always spend most of the first week of Christmas holiday with family and friends!  We were invited to eat with the Pierrels, had a shopping day with Mimi and Grandma in Old Town Spring, went to the mall to play with the Sonsels, lost a second tooth, and even opened a few early presents!  Brooklyn had the tooth fairy visit on the 23rd and Santa visit on the 24th!
Outside play day!

Pajama Christmas Party

The kids were invited to a pajama Christmas party for our friend Reese's birthday!  It was such a cute party and a great theme!  There were crafts out for the kids to do, there were milk and cookies for the kids to enjoy, Santa hats and bells, and present time!  The kids had a great time!
The Kuhn's PapPap was there and so the kids got to see him!

They love him!

Cracker Barrel

As most of you know, my dad has been off of work since the end of April.  He has been accepted for disability because of memory and confusion issues.  He has been, for the first time in my life, around for all of the holidays and is really enjoying being relaxed and loving being with the kids!  He asked us to join he and my mom to make the journey to the Baytown Cracker Barrel to see his employees and show off his grandchildren!  He loved being in his element and was so loved by his employees!  They loved seeing the kids that they had heard so much about!  It was so neat seeing the kitchen crew come out in small groups and just hug on dad and tell him how much they love him and miss him so much!  The back of the house employees have always been so important to my dad!  It was so great to see him in his element!

Nutcracker Party

In order for the girls in the Daisy troop to get a Nutcracker patch, they had to watch a live or recorded story of The Nutcracker.  The parents got together and decided to have a Nutcracker Party for the girls!  We had it at one of the girls' house and it was so cute with food geared toward the story, viewing the Nutcracker Barbie movie, and a ballerina even came to teach the girls some ballet steps!  It was a very fun day and was so cute to see all of the girls so excited!
Great job Tracie planning all of the decorations and food!

All of the girls piled on one couch to watch the movie!

A real ballerina came to teach the girls!

By the end of the movie, they were all standing up dancing with Barbie

Brooklyn's Class Party

Because I work part time this year, I have been able to be very involved in Brooklyn's kindergarten year!  I am so thankful for the chance to be involved this year and develop relationships with the kids in her room and her teacher.  I got to join them for their Christmas Party this year and it was tons of fun!  They do things very different in Klein!  The homeroom parents come up with fun games to play during the party instead of just eating during the party!  There are snacks but the emphasis is not on the snacks but on playing the holiday games and doing crafts and such!  I loved it!  We did the Reindeer Pokey, we played a Snowball Game, and we played the Number Game!  There was fun music and all of the kids got to get up and dance with each other and with Mrs. Hutson!

Colson's Pajama Day

The last day of school, Colson had a pajama party for his class Christmas party!  They brought a book to exchange during a fun game with friends, Chic-fil-a catered nuggets for all of the kids, and they had fun with cupcakes!  Colson loves his friends at school and his loving teachers and we are so grateful for them all!  He has had such a great year this year full of learning and structure...now if we could just get him to take a nap!  Thank you Mrs. Linda and Mrs. Terrie for a great start to the year!
Ready for his PJ day!

Pin Ceremony for Daisies!

Brooklyn received her first pin and patch in our December meeting!  It was so neat to see the girls get their first pin and build their troop banner during the ceremony!  Each mom got to help their daughter and place the pin on their daughter's vest!  Very fun!  Thank you Tracie for the pictures...I forgot my SD card!
