September Past and Present

Wow!  September is already winding down!   This is all going amazingly fast!  It has been a busy month with school for all of us...including Colson who is now going to ELA!  We are very excited he is in school now but miss our babysitter tremendously!  Here are some pics from September in the past and this year!

AWANA

AWANA has begun for this year at church!  Colson is now in the 2 year old program called Puggles and Brooklyn is a second year Cubbie!  They are loving it all so far!  Brooklyn gets her memory verses very quickly and this year she will need to know where they are found in the Bible also!  Mrs. April, Mrs. Chelsea, and Mrs. Kellie are her teachers and she loves them all!  Colson is with Mrs. Cindy and Mr. James and last week he wanted to stay and play and not come home!  I noticed a huge difference with him sitting while Mrs. Cindy is teaching between the first and second week so I hope his listening ears are on!  I am a product of AWANA and feel it is so important to improve knowledge of the scripture and give them a firm foundation in what the Bible says!
10 Cubbies this year!

They love Mr. John in game time

Galveston 2010-Labor Day Weekend

For the past 5 years, we have gone with the Kuhn family and other families to Galveston for a fun family weekend!  This year we rented a house with the Kuhns and the Heemers and had a BLAST!!!  There were 7 kids and and 6 adults and it was wild, crazy, and full of fun times!  We had a wonderful house right on the beach and a great view of the beach!  We spent our days on the beach, playing in the sand, and playing in the waves.  We spent the nights grilling out, watching movies, relaxing on the porch, making s'mores, and enjoying the great company!!!  The kids are so fun and had a blast!  Colson loved being in the sand and Brooklyn loved being in the water!  Thank you Rick, Jill, Grant, and Jennifer for a great weekend!

First day of School

I know I am behind!!!  Good first day at school for Brooklyn and of course Colson is still loving Deanna's house!  Brooklyn has several teachers this year and is loving them.  They have told us that she is so sweet and no problems at all! yay!  Colson is starting to talk more and more and is Deanna's little helper!  He is so glad to have another boy at the sitter this year to play with him!!!!

Both of the kids tucked in before the first day of school!!!

The morning before going to ELA 4 year old class and Deanna's house!

Brooklyn with Mrs. Sue...Mrs. Christina and Mrs. Gracie are also her teachers but were not there this morning.  They come in a little later.

The kids get to pick exactly what they want for the first day of school dinner.  In hopes that it would be something quick, I asked Brooklyn what she wanted for her dinner of choice!  No chicken nuggets and french fries for this girl...she wanted Italian Sausage, asparagus, strawberries, and grapes.  They both loved it and it was a great end to a great day for them!

Meal of choice!!!!!
