November 2015

Our November was very busy and very fun!  We had soccer, girl scout ceremonies, Thanksgiving time with family, special birthday celebrations, time with family during break, and a Christmas Carol surprise for the kids!

Go Blue Blizzards!

Colson is a really good defender and has a knack for spotting opened players to pass to!

Mohawk ready!

On the sidelines, Brooklyn and Judah like to play "haircut" and this is how Judah got his hair done!

Seriously the cutest!

We had family pictures done on one of the very rainy Saturdays!  That was a challenge but turned out just perfect!  We were so impressed with Valarie who came down from Dallas to take our pictures!

Seriously?!?!  Cutest pic ever!!!

Brooklyn had her Investiture Ceremony which is the start of the new year in Juniors.  Her friend, Samantha, has joined our troop and all other girls are the same!  Brooklyn is starting her 5th year as a girl scout and truly loves going to her meetings and outings with her friends.

Our family never has had family in Texas as long as I have been alive.  My parents bought their first house in a neighborhood in Spring, Texas in 1976 and moved in right next door to an amazing young couple.  The Ericksons were our family as were their entire family that lived very close to us.  Their grandparents, Memaw and Popsie, were like my own grandparents.  Popsie celebrated his 82nd birthday with a special celebration.  Pancreatic cancer has caused him to lose a lot of weight and has many of us concerned but it was so great to spend the day with him.

All of the family signed in Popsie's hand....this is beautiful!

I got to see Lorie!

Thanksgiving Break 2015
Movie Time at our AWESOME AMC theater 5 minutes away...we saw the new Peanuts movie!

On sale ice cream at Baskin Robbins....we think we will!

BEAUTIFUL bike ride and play time with the kids!

The kids have no idea what their suprise is!

S
They were so surprised and excited to get to see a play....a real live play!

They both liked it but Colson was very scared for a few nights after because of the ghosts in the play!
We spent time decorating the whole house for Christmas and it was so fun with the kids this year!  They were so helpful!  Brooklyn can now wrap presents, and boy was I thrilled when she caught on to my instructions so well!  She loved helping and made it so much easier for me!

Love!!!
We celebrated Crystal's birthday at a VERY authentic Chinese restaurant and then off to Chinatown Kareoke!  It was tons of fun and we all got involved...some more hesitantly than others!

Thanksgiving began with the parade as usual, cooking our food to bring to Memaw's and a good at home workout.  My parents joined the Alford crew because my sister and her family are no longer close to celebrate with us!
