May 2014

The kids had a wonderful and very busy May filled with special occasions, looking forward to the end of the school year, and fun in the pool!
We went to my school's very first annual Snyder Derby and Carnival and it was awesome!  The kids loved having their hair done!

Brooklyn attended her third Father/Daughter Dance for Girl Scouts and the theme was Princess and her King.  She dressed as Princess Kate and LOVED being in character rather than the dress that I had already picked out for her!  They had a blast as they always do and enjoyed their time together!  Colson and I went out to Aunt Crystal and Uncle Philip's house so he got to have some fun too!

We enjoyed being a part of the CANDLELIGHT HILLS CUDAS very much this year!  The kids did awesome in their first year as a part of the swim team and we are excited that Brooklyn really found her love in swim.  She will be continuing on the Spring Swim Team to swim year round and she is very thrilled about that.  The family environment, great communication, and wonderful coaches have made it a wonderful experience.  Colson has improved so much from the start of the season as has Brooklyn.  Brooklyn and Colson both say that their favorite stroke is freestyle.  Colson earned MANY first place ribbons as a part of an awesome relay team!

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend complete with family, homemade cards, and lots of love and hugs.  I think the best thing about being a mom is having the thoughts every day about raising our children to be wonderful mothers and fathers one day and to love Jesus with every inch of their soul!
Curt and I are so blessed to both have parents that showed us this love, independence, encouragement, and faith and I am so thankful for it.

Our garden is flourishing and making us so excited!  Loving the squash right now!!!!!!!!
We had an awesome date night with the Pierrels and Lackeys!  We loved Top Golf even though I have never even golfed at all!  We had fun playing, talking, eating and drinking!  Love our friends!

Brooklyn's big 2nd grade project is a Business Fair Project.  They have to make 12 of an certain product and create a poster advertising it.  They bring 6 quarters to the Fair and may purchase 6 items of their choice that other friends make.  It was a WONDERFUL project!  The students loved it and Brooklyn was so proud of her GAK idea that she had!

I have THE BEST sister in laws ever!  They love our kids and spoil them beyond belief!  Cynthia and Curt took the kids and Edward to SEA WORLD in San Antonio!  They had a blast on the riverwalk and seeing Shamu.  It is definitely a trip that they continue to talk about!

Another Girl Scout year in the books!  We celebrated after a long day at a swim meet with our friends at Incredible Pizza and were so excited to get Splashtown tickets as our end of the year gift this year!  So exciting!

We love to pick blackberries and blueberries!!!!!!!!

Onto SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
