October 2015

We had such a fun October!  Busy, but fun!
My month started with a trip to Canton with Tracy and her neighbor Sarah.  We got so much shopping done and have Christmas presents bought already!
A beautiful day for shopping!
We spent so much of October outside.  It was a pretty warm October but made for good soccer, swimming, biking and hiking weather.
Hiking at Mercer Arboretum

Brooklyn swam free and back at a year round meet for Spring Swim Team.  She had great times in 50 yd swims and her flip turns are so improved!  Very proud of her!

4 mile bike ride to the park across Louetta and back!  They did great!

In his 5th season of soccer and his skills are getting so much better!  Go Blue Blizzards!  He is learning to play positions great!  His favorite to positions are defender and goalie.  Mommy does not like him to play goalie but loves him playing defender.  He is very good at reading the other player and stopping him.

4th grade had a color run at school for our Fun Run!  It was tons of fun but boy was I covered.

Such a great memory for our kids

Ordered the Love Boat....lol!

Date night with friends for Laurie's birthday!  She is finally 35!

Lemm had their carnival in the fall instead of in the Spring!  It was great...hayride, beautiful decorations, grilled burgers, friends, and tons of fun!  Brooklyn was a 60's girl and Colson was Elvis Presley!

Halloween 2015 was a great time!  We went Trick or Treating with the kids as a 60's family.  We had Mimi and Poppi join us for the night and then they got to spend the night at their house.  We then headed to Philip's costume birthday party for the rest of the night.  Such a fun night!
Peace

September 2015

I really do not have a lot of pictures for September!  I guess that shows how truly busy we have been the month of September!  We are busy with soccer every weekend for Colson and getting adjusted to our busy schedules during the week.  Monday is team leader meeting, soccer practice, girl scouts, and swim practice, (as well as bunco 1 time a month)!
Brooklyn loves to read and Colson loves to be read to

Bernie's Backyard Food Truck Park with the Pierrels!

Storybook Parade

Robert (our nephew) got married to Hayley this month.  They had a small ceremony and it was perfect for them and their style.  The kids loved dancing!

August 2015

Our August started off as a hard one.  Dad was recovering from his stroke as Kristin, John and the baby were packing to leave for St. Louis.  On August 1st, Kristin and John headed out.  We helped them in some very last minute packing of their home, and their departure was delayed a bit because of that same kind of packing, but then they were off.  I will tell you that it was one of the hardest things ever to say good bye.  I think the realization of how permanent this move is was the most difficult to accept and knowing the challenges that she is going to have coming up, was hard.

Just some more end of summer fun!!!

Swimming with the DeClue Family

Colson is obsessed with American Ninja Warrior and wants to practice his skills all the time!

Happy 40th Anniversary to the best mom and dad a girl could have!!!
Brooklyn got to go on a camp out with the Girl Scouts this month.  They visited Jellystone Yogi Bear Park which is about an hour away and got to stay in cabins there.  They got to do crafts, swim, and play all through the 3 days they were there!

While Curt and I return to work each year, my parents find a fun trip in Texas to take the kids on.  This year they took Brooklyn and Colson to San Antonio.  They had fun on the River Walk, the Alamo, the pool at the hotel, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Wax Museum, and dinner with Ed and Nikki Lee.  We are so blessed to have my parents close and their love for the kids.  They look forward to this week every year!

When the kids got  back, they got to go Meet their Teachers at Lemm Elementary.  We are beginning the 4th grade with Mrs. Foster and 2nd grade with Mrs. Postma and Mr. Orcutt.  We know nothing about Mrs. Foster but know and love Postma and Orcutt because Brooklyn had them in second grade.  It should be a great year filled with learning and growing!!
