Circus Time!

Mimi and Poppi surprised the kids for their birthdays and took us all to the circus when Grandma was in town!  It was a blast.  It had been since they were 3 and 1 that they had been, so their reaction to it was so different than before.  They were intrigued the ENTIRE show!  Colson's favorite part was the clowns and Brooklyn's favorite part was the girls that hung from their hair!  After a $14 cotton candy, a $12 popcorn, and a $3 Sprite, we decided that the smiles on their faces were worth every bit!  Colson came home playing circus and being the ringmaster, but he most of all enjoyed being the clowns!!!

Brooklyn is 7 and Colson is 5!

Curt and I cannot believe how fast time is passing!  Brooklyn turned 7 this year and Colson turned 5!  I remember listening to friends talk about their kids being 5 or 6 or 7 when I had little babies and could not imagine what it would be like to have "older" kids like that and in the blink of an eye, they are older kids!  Brooklyn loves to read (reading on middle of a 3rd grade level), write, draw, color, swim, and play with Colson anything imaginative.  She loves watching Word Girl, Wild Kratts, and Strawberry Shortcake.
Colson loves to try new foods, super heroes, legos, holding hands with anyone who will, power rangers, ninja turtles, and swimming.  He loves watching Power Rangers, Super Hero Squad, Word Girl, and Wild Kratts.
This year we did a RED, WHITE, AND BLUE themed birthday party at our local skating rink and it was a blast!  We were surrounded by the best of the best people, ate yummy cupcakes that I made, took a few spills on the rink, and had a lot of laughs.  Thank you friends for all of our gifts and for coming to the kids' party!

Kiki came over early because she and John were going out of town during the time of our party!
