Colson's School Christmas Party

Pajama Party for Daisies!

We got to have a great Pajama Party for the Daisies this year!  We had a night of pizza, T'was the Night Before Christmas, cookie tin decorating, and a cookie exchange!  We had an opportunity to do a great service project where each girl brought pajamas for a little girl who is less fortunate!  It was a great time for the girls to do something for another girl!  Thank you to Crystal, Tracie, and Lori for an awesome night!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

The Birthday Party for Jesus is a Sunday filled with fun and celebration.  The most important thing is the focus on it being Jesus' birthday.  It has been an important thing that we teach our kids why we give, receive, and focus on Christmas.  I was so proud to hear that a few weeks later in Children's Church Colson was able to tell the whole story of Jesus' birth and answer every question!  I am so thankful to our church for giving our kids a foundation unlike no other.  They know the importance and meaning of Jesus' birth and it is because they are taught the truth Biblically!

Yearly Christmas Ornaments

The kids receive Christmas ornaments from my parents and from Curt's parents every single year.  My mom and dad gave the kids characters from the Nutcracker this year and Curt's parents bought a Spiderman and snowglobe for the kids this year.  They always receive a Hallmark ornament from his parents.  They were so excited to add them to the tree!
Thank you grandparents!!!

Thanksgiving 2012

We spent Thanksgiving cooking in the morning, with the Alford family for lunch, and then to the Lewis home for dinner.  It was the first Thanksgiving that I have ever spent with my Granny.  Now that she is living here, we are having a lot of firsts!  We LOVED watching the Texans win in overtime against the Detroit Lions!  There were screams, yells, and cheers filling the Alford Thanksgiving!  Kiki and John went to Kentucky to see his family so it was pretty quiet at the Lewis home!  The kids were so excited to spend the night with Mimi and Poppi and Curt and I were able to do some Thanksgiving night shopping!  We got a lot bought for the kids for Christmas and Curt even got an outstanding deal on a miter saw!!!
We are so thankful for our family, health, faith, and each other!

Zoo Lights 2012

The Houston Zoo has started something called Zoo Lights!  You can go at night and take a tour of the amazing light displays and even see some of the animals at night!  Cynthia had sneak peek passes, so we got to go before the crowds really hit.  We loved it!  Our time with family was great, listening to the high school choir sing religious carols was amazing, watching Curt and Brooklyn jitterbug to the music was priceless!

Let's Decorate!

I absolutely loved that the kids were waiting for me to get home from my cruise so that we could decorate for Christmas!  Before the suitcases were even unloaded, they were begging to help us decorate!  Curt and I were ready for some fun!  It was nice having Curt home to help us get it all up this year and the kids were more involved than they ever have been!  Each box and tote that were opened were met with huge eyes excited to see the special decorations that they have not seen in so long!  It was awesome!  We turned on Christmas music, a Christmas scentsy scent, and started on it all!  My favorite parts of decorating: getting out our nativity scene and hanging all of our special ornaments.  Our ornaments are made up of places we have traveled, baby's first ornaments, and kid made ornaments!  So awesome!

Daddy always has help with the tree topper...it is getting harder as they get bigger!
