30th Birthday

So today is my 30th birthday!  It is amazing that I remember, just like it was yesterday, hearing that people were 30 and felt like that was so old!  IT'S NOT!  I feel just like I did at the last big birthday 21...except...have gotten married....given birth to 2 kids...put on weight in areas I don't care to think about...have a full time job....don't know what the city roads look like at 2 am....have to actually plan out grocery trips....have to do a weekly clean out of the junk in my car (and it is not drive-thru stuff like in college)...BUT...one thing has stayed the same!  I still have great family and friends who make my day special!  Here are some pics of our celebration with the Alford clan and the Lewis clan.  With the Alfords, we went to Lasagna House III to celebrate mine and Cynthia's bday and I got two beautiful charms for my Pandora bracelet and a gift card to NY and Co....my favorite!  With the Lewis', we celebrated at Big E McGee's (great restaurant in Old Town Spring)!  We celebrated my dad's 59th bday (June 4th), my 30th (June 5th), and my sister's 28th (June 6th)!  We went back to the house to open presents and I got some more wonderful charms from my Grandma and Mom, some fit flops, Kohl's gift card, and Target gift card from my Uncle and Aunt in Tennessee!  I have had the best time celebrating!  Tonight my sweet friends Jill and Laurie and my awesome hubby are throwing a casual couples cook out at my parent's house...it should be fun!
The thirties will be great surrounded by wonderful family and awesome friends!

Colson was so proud that he stabbed his bread!

Too funny!

Italian food with the Italian side of our family!  Doesn't Colson look Italian..hahaha!

Eating with the Lewis clan!  They kind of match...too cute!

He helped Kiki open her presents!

The kids love their Kiki!

He thought it was so funny to smell Kiki's feet and say, "PeeYoo!"

Memorial Day 2010

We had a great weekend!  We spent Saturday morning with the Kuhns while Curt went on a bike ride to Montgomery.  Brooklyn had a great time and is becoming quite the pool rat!  She is swimming better and better!  She is taking lessons with Ricky and Everett at the pool with a lady named Mrs. Jessica who is fabulous!  She is great at teaching safety and showing the perfect amount of love and nurturing!  Colson is quite a momma's boy and had a tough time warming up to the water!  After being in the pool Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, he did much better!  His first private lesson with Jessica was Tuesday and he did great!  A little warm up time and he was ready to go!  We had fun with the Kuhns at the pool for 2 days and then a day at the pool with Curt's friend, Randy and his son Keagan!    Such a great family weekend!

Everett, Ricky, Brooklyn, and Colson--all but one having a blast!

Around the House

Not supposed to sit in the sand and water table!

Brooklyn selling "stuff" from her store to Daddy!

Brooklyn used her mats to set up a store...she is so excited and came up with it all herself!

We got a new beautiful log cabin for outside from one of Daddy's friends!

They love to be read to!
