July 2017

Our July is one of our busiest months.  Because the kids swim in the summer league, we swim all June, so we are very busy come July.  Celebrating my mom's birthday, the kids' birthdays, the 4th, and usually a family vacation is always filling our July.
We started the month celebrating our friend Richelle's birthday with a night in town.  it was fun to get out and just enjoy being with friends!

We celebrated the 4th of July with the Luley family in Prosper.  We took the kids to the McKinney parade, went swimming, enjoyed some good fireworks after a minor league baseball game.  It was tons of fun!

We celebrated the kids and my mom's birthdays together at Bucca Di Beppo and it was scrumptious!  We had a great meal and then the kids got to open presents at their house!  It was a Cowboy's kind of birthday for Colson!!!  He loves the team that we don't!

Each kid got their own birthday party this year.  This is the first time that we did this!  Each kid got to invite a few friends and we went to climb with them at Inspire Rock.  We then took them and their few friends to Pizza Zone to eat in their new restaurant.  It was perfect, small, quaint, and exactly what they wanted!!!

Brooklyn has been a part of the same Girl Scout troop since kindergarten.  They are not continuing for their 6th grade year.  We are so very sad to see them dissolve the troop as it has been such a sweet group of girls for Brooklyn to maintain friendships and connections with.  Their last outing was at Kemah in July!  It was sweltering hot!  I got sick from the heat and a ride that made me sick and ended up getting sick multiple times and had to leave.  Luckily, there was another mom that kept Brooklyn there so she could enjoy the rest of her last outing!

A little fun at Urban Air with the Heemers!
We got some new patio furniture for our back porch!  I redid two tables by just painting the top of them with chalk paint!

The kids went with Eddie and Aunt Cynthia to the Fire Museum.  They always have a blast on their little outings with them!

Birthday party fun with a professional baker!  Brooklyn loved it!  Her teacher was one of my former parents who has been on 2 baking shows on TLC!
