March 2017

Cassie's first heartworm treatment did not work, so unfortunately she has to endure another treatment. We took her in mid March and then will again in April for her treatment to be given by the Poodle Rescue Houston. We were so pleased that they treated her for free since their first treatment was unsuccessful. Just breaks my heart that such a difficult procedure has to be done yet again.

Last Play off game!!!

Enjoying the weather on a nice Spring day! Brooklyn has been obsessively reading the Harry Potter books and cannot put them down!

Troop 13680 received their Bronze Award by hosting an adoption even through the Texas Animal Society. They had 3 adoptions, so they were thrilled!

Precious John dressed up for his picture day! We miss him so much and cannot wait to see him in July!

Brooklyn read the saddest part in her book and she can't believe it! This girl is a Harry Potter fanatic!

For Spring Break we were invited to go to Breckenridge to go snow skiing and other activities with the Moffitt family! We had such a wonderful time. Though I was not too into skiing, the kids were wonderful at it and Curt got better as the trip went on and he did more runs!

Cassie was sad to not go with us!

We drove straight up there and straight back all in one car!

Cassie celebrated her 4th birthday with us on February 14! She got her very own cake and treats! We love you Cassie!

In 2017, the SuperBowl is in Houston. The NFL Experience is a community event for all of Houston that takes place leading up to the game. They do work with the Special Olympics, so Curt and his team got to take students to the NFL Experience and play flag football with Texans Players! Such a great experience!
