Brooklyn is 7 and Colson is 5!

Curt and I cannot believe how fast time is passing!  Brooklyn turned 7 this year and Colson turned 5!  I remember listening to friends talk about their kids being 5 or 6 or 7 when I had little babies and could not imagine what it would be like to have "older" kids like that and in the blink of an eye, they are older kids!  Brooklyn loves to read (reading on middle of a 3rd grade level), write, draw, color, swim, and play with Colson anything imaginative.  She loves watching Word Girl, Wild Kratts, and Strawberry Shortcake.
Colson loves to try new foods, super heroes, legos, holding hands with anyone who will, power rangers, ninja turtles, and swimming.  He loves watching Power Rangers, Super Hero Squad, Word Girl, and Wild Kratts.
This year we did a RED, WHITE, AND BLUE themed birthday party at our local skating rink and it was a blast!  We were surrounded by the best of the best people, ate yummy cupcakes that I made, took a few spills on the rink, and had a lot of laughs.  Thank you friends for all of our gifts and for coming to the kids' party!

Kiki came over early because she and John were going out of town during the time of our party!

July Playtime!

We did not have one July day when there was nothing going on!  We were busy with playdates, trips, and fun!

Erin came in town from NY and we got to go swim at her brother's place!

Before Mimi's birthday dinner!

You could never guess how entertaining this tote of water was!

Redneck washtub!

They both fit!  Hilarious!

Swim lessons have been twice a week all summer!

Madeline, Reese, and Brooklyn were so much calmer!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great and relaxing 4th of July!  We were invited over to the Pierrel's new home to celebrate with food, friends, water, and fireworks to top it off!  It was our first time to go watch fireworks as a family in The Woodlands and it was great!  The kids really enjoyed it and we enjoyed our parking which was out of the crowd!  Laurie got the kids a pinata which was a definite "hit"!  Nick finally hit it hard enough to make the candy explode and boy were they in heaven!
