Love, Hug and Groom

The Girl Scouts took a trip to a Camp Misty Meadows in Conroe where we attended a program called Love, Hug, and Groom.  The Daisies are too young to ride horses there but they were able to see where they take care of them, how they feed them, and then got to groom them and braid their manes and tails.  It was a beautiful day and the girls loved their time there.  They cannot wait to ride as a troop next year!
Karianne, Brooklyn, Christen, Sarah, and MaryAnn

And then Karrington and Sofia joined us too!

Cowboys and Angels

The Girl Scout Father/Daughter Dance had a theme called Cowboys and Angels.  The dad's dressed in their cowboy best while the daughters looked like angels!  They leave it very opened for the girls to dress how they choose.  It is such a great night that Brooklyn looks forward to every year.  There was fun line dancing, playing games, and even a mechanical bull!  Curt was one of 4 dads that tried it out and Brooklyn giggled the whole time, which was not very long until he fell off!  Brooklyn loved to ride it also!  Such a great night just for the two of them!

Loved how this dad dressed as an angel and his daughter dressed as a cowgirl!

Easter 2013

Our Easter Festivities began a week before Easter with the kids having their first Egg Hunt.  Colson participated in 4 Egg hunts and Brooklyn in 3!  That is crazy!  They love every minute of it...our 2 huge bowls of candy are reminders of their fun!  Thank you Mimi and Poppi for taking us to Mrs. Martha's Egg Hunt!

Neighborhood Egg Hunt!

Our bunny had quite great moves!

Brooklyn got out there and danced with her!!!
On Easter Sunday, the kids got up and were thrilled that the Bunny had come our way.  This is the first year that Brooklyn knows about the Bunny and so it was a little different for me.  She was still super excited and was thanking the Bunny like crazy!  Her favorite: her super hero GIRL panties.  His favorite: His super hero pajama shirts!

We got ready for church and headed to the 9:00 service.  We have changed churches after me attending my church for 28 years.  It has been a hard change but am so thankful for Northwest Bible.  We truly feel like God is calling us there and this will be our home for a long time.  We know that our kids will learn the Word of God and we can grow also.  We had several families join us on Sunday and we loved having them with us.  It was an amazing service!  Truly amazing that our kids know the true reason for Easter and what it is all about.  So thankful!
Colson age 4 and Brooklyn age 6

We tried to take a timer picture!
Off to Memaw and Pop's house we headed for our wonderful lunch and awesome egg hunt!  We hid 89 eggs this year and the kids (including our nephew Isa who is 16) loved finding the eggs with money!  Brooklyn was the big winner this year!  We then used up 10 dozen confetti eggs and had a blast doing it!  That has got to be the kids' favorite thing!  My Granny was hilarious....she just sat in the middle of the egg war like nothing was going on!  She is so funny!

HE IS RISEN....HE IS RISEN INDEED!

Bluebonnets 2013

As we do every year, we ventured out into the bluebonnets to take pictures of the kids.  We love doing this every year and often wonder if in any other state you go take pictures in your state flower.  They don't bloom for very long, so we have to pick the perfect weekend!  We go up to Montgomery to find patches and of course try not to trample all over them!  The kids did great this year and really love going out there!
