Run for the Cure 2012

Our family had the honor of being able to attend a walk for our friend Missy.  She is fighting stage 4 breast cancer and has been undergoing treatments since April.  She is the most courageous and strongest woman.  Waibel's Warriors consisted of about 50 members and was a mix of friends, teachers, and neighbors of Missy.  It was great walking with the whole family because Missy's 6 year old and 3 year old are friends of our kids.  What an inspiring day!
Missy was Josh's first teacher and I his last teacher in elementary school!

A Visit From Family

It was so wonderful to have the chance to visit with my Uncle Ed and Aunt Linda from Kansas City.  They came down to visit Granny, who is now living with my parents.  It was great to see them, as it had been a very long time since we had seen them!  Aunt Linda was great with the kids and Uncle Ed loved loving on them!  You will definitely see the family resemblance in my dad and uncle!
Great food, great football throwing, great drawing, and even better family!

Family Trip to Prosper

We were so excited when my college roommate found out that she would be moving back to Texas from Virginia where she had lived for about 2 and a half years!  Her hubby took on a new job and was able to request a move back to the state he loves!
They have been moved in since August and finally had a weekend we were both free to make the drive up there to see Meagan, Brian, Tatum, and Hallie!  I had never met Hallie, who is 16 months old, and had not seen Meagan in almost 2 years!  We are super close and I had been missing her terribly!
We had a rainy weekend but that did not stop our fun!  We took the kids to the Oktoberfest on the McKinney Square where the kids saw Weenie Dog Races, got their face painted, listened to singing, were amazed at yodeling, and loved watching the dancing!  Their face paints were amazing and were quite the talk wherever we went!
Meagan and I got time to go look at house decor, and we just enjoyed being with them!
Wish they lived even closer but it is nothing like Virginia...that is far!

Labor Day Weekend 2012

We had a weekend of catching up on things around the house and time with friends!  We put the kids to work and got busy on the floors and kitchen in the house...it had been neglected because of all of my energy being poured into learning my new school!
We were then invited to the Kuhn's house on Sunday to enjoy relaxing evening with friends.  We made some new ones and of course enjoyed the old ones!
