Home Improvement 2011

We have been considering, researching, and deciding what floors to replace our carpet and vinyl with for about a year!  We finally bit the bullet and bought the floors!  I am so excited because they are so beautiful!  We had tons of help from friends!  Thank you so much...we couldn't have done it without you!  You also will not believe it...I did it too!  It was so hard...my body just ached the next day!  Curt was amazing and worked so hard.  Here are some before, during, and after pictures!  We still have baseboards to paint, replace, and nail on!

Easter 2011

Easter was kind of a weird and busy weekend for us this year.  We bought new floors for our house and so Curt decided he wanted to put them in while he had an extra day off on Good Friday.  Our friends Jeremy and Nick came over and helped on Friday.  They all worked so hard and Curt worked into the early morning.  The kids and I just decided to stay at my mom's house because it was so busy and the house was torn to pieces!  Curt called on Saturday morning to ask if I could help because we weren't sure if we were going to have any help.  Reluctantly, I came home and helped him for about 11 1/2 hours on Saturday.  I was so impressed with myself and could not believe how hard a job it was!  Jeremy ended up coming to help and so did Crystal which was so great!  We got a lot done!  We brought the kids home late Saturday night so the Easter Bunny could come to our house in our sleep!
The kids were so excited about what the Easter Bunny brought us!  It just thrilled us to see their happy faces!  We went to church and had a great children's breakfast, Easter egg hunt, and worship celebration.   Brooklyn was so funny!  When the kids all ran out, they all stopped by the doors to get eggs...Brooklyn ran to the far side of the playground where no one was so she could have full reign!  She loved that!!!   We are so thankful for Christ's resurrection and love that Brooklyn knows what Easter is and why we celebrate the special day!  We joined my side and Curt's side of the family together and had our annual egg hunt, yummy lunch, and confetti egg war!  Brooklyn was the golden egg finder this year and she got a $5 bill in it!  She was thrilled!  Colson got to where he would shake the egg and call out MONEY or CANDY!
WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

A Day at the Museum

A few weekends ago, we took the kids to the Houston Children's Museum.  We are members of The Woodlands Children's Museum but rarely get a chance to go into town to go to the big one!  There is so much to do and see and the kids truly had a great time!  Brooklyn's favorite was painting her own face!  Colson loved playing in the water outside!  It was so great because it was not busy at all and the kids got to play with no big kids around pushing them out of their way!

Definitely the artists of the house!

She loved the butterfly I did for her!

Colson got a snake on his face...he was not still at all!
